- Going by the Mark Wylde concept art, early names for Hollowback and the Metal Maniacs seemed to be Knightmare and Metal Manics, respectively. In addition, it appears that Mark Wylde's role was originally meant for Kurt Wylde, since there is a "Kurt Wylde" signature next to 'Kurt' and 'Knighmare'.
- It is possible “Manics” might have just been a typo for “Maniacs”.
