History

The Wave Rippers team, led by Vert Wheeler, exhibit middling performance throughout the World Race. Notably, however, Alec Wood comes close to beating Taro and Kadeem in the second leg, only to be pit-manuevered by the two of them. At the end of World Race, the Wave Rippers are the final winners due to Vert being the one to retrieve the Wheel of Power.

Trivia

• In the beginning of the World Race movie, when Dr. Tesla is explaining the different teams' abilities, although the jump booster ability is demonstrated, Dr. Tesla does not actually verbally explain what the ability is, unlike with the other cars.
• The Wave Rippers are the only team to have had two cars present for the ability demonstration.
• The Wave Rippers feature the most American drivers, with 5 out of the 7 members being from the USA (counting Lani)
